Second Crane on the Skyline at the port of Tyne

The Port of Tyne, UK, has taken delivery of its second framework crane for its instrumentation Terminal at Tyne Dock in South Shields.

The new crane can alter the Port of Tyne to handle ninety eight of the world’s world fleet of short ocean instrumentation vessels. it’s the eq of 107 double decker buses and once absolutely designed are a brand new landmark on Tyneside, lofty aboard the port’s 10 different cranes. At its full height of 70m the Crane are above the 20m high Angel of the North and better still than the 59m height of the Tyne Bridge.

Meanwhile, Port of Sunderland, has placed AN order with international crane manufacturer Liebherr, for a LHM 420 Harbour Mobile Crane, a procurement that may add a profitable new dimension to the port’s handling capabilities.
